The second group gave gifts but not me but to the elderly. These gifts turned into
donations of the needs of the elderly and the center.
We were able to complete the wish list of the center, such as
disposable gloves
laundry detergents
3in1 coffee
Bear brand milk powder
Energen drink
soy sauce
sinigang mix
mushroom soup
(these were given in big quantities as requested by the center)
while the needs of the elderly were placed in a loot bag
baby cologne
petroleum jelly
face towel
fresh milk
biscuits
Thanks to the generosity of my family and friends who not only attended the
event but also gave donations.
Of course, the food was provided by the celebrant both for the elderly and the guests.
We served a slightly different menu for the elderly due to the diet requirement.
They had spaghetti, biko, ham & cheese sandwich and a chocolate cupcake
with golden icing for dessert.
Guests have spaghetti, palabok, pizza, barbeque, puto, pichi pichi, biko and chocolate cupcake.
prayer before meal |
The highlight of the event was thanksgiving for the 50 years of blessed life that
God has given to me, it was extending and sharing of God's love to the elderly of the center.
There was a spiritual message given by our Pasay City Alliance Church Pastor,
Rev. William Cargo.
My brother, Kuya Ricky led the group in singing the thanksgiving song ,
Thank You Lord.
Though we were pressed for time we managed to play the prepared game of
NAME THAT TUNE,
we were able to play three Kundiman songs that the elderly enjoyed.
A couple of elderly sang on stage
Afterwhich we proceeded to the dining area for merienda.

Ryzard, sang " What a Wonderful World" accompanied by my husband's friend

I shared my birthday song to all the September celebrants, two (2) Lolas from the center,
one Lola from my guest (Tita Anching), two (2) ladies Vangie & Lenie and
one (1) toddler Zayne, plus me , we were seven (7) celebrants.
